August Favourites 2015

I can't believe August is over and Summer 2015 is coming to an end. On the other hand I can't wait for Fall... vampy lips, boots and comfy sweaters. The month of August I was obsessed with lip products (ok I am always obsessed with lip products) and I really loved shopping my collection. Some of the products that I fell in love again with were the Revlon balms! I love me some jumbo pencil lip products because they are easy to apply and come in so many pretty colours and finishes. Now... enough with my babble and on to my faves!

• Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Audacious
• Rimmel Apocalips in Stellar

I've really been loving pops of color whether it be on the eyes or on the lips. What have you guys been loving in the past month? Would love to know!

MAC Rebel Dupes & Holiday Berry Lips

Overall in terms of pigmentation and consistency I felt that Milani's Sangria was the closest match to MAC's Rebel lipstick. The others were pretty close and I would give 2nd and 3rd place to the Wet & Wild lipsticks. Blissful Berry & Revlon's Crush were close in tone but they were a bit more sheer than Rebel. These are very nice lip choices for the holiday season and I love them all! If you have any holiday lip suggestions please let me know by tweeting, facebooking, instagraming... anything haha! Happy Holidays everyone! I hope you all are enjoying this holiday season :) I haven't posted in awhile so I thought I would just share my mini collection of Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stains and some of my thoughts on the product.

Some of the balm stains are more pigmented than others which are the brighter ones like Lovesick & Smitten. I found that Lovesick lasted a good time on my lips while some of the other lighter colours such as Charm didn't last as long. The application is quite smooth and I don't mind the slight pepperminty scent that it has. I didn't find the product too drying on the lips but I like wearing a little lip balm underneath just in case. At the moment I have been using Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine underneath and it is working quite well for me.

Overall, I think the balm stains are a great product. For staying power I would lean more towards the brighter colours but if you don't mind a little less staying power than the lighter colours are beautiful as well :)
