June Favourites 2015

It's that time of the month again! June favourites. In the month of June I've been really trying to use up some items. One example would be the blush in this picture... I hit pan! Woot... Here is what I have been loving in the month of June.

  • Morphe Jaclyn Hill Favorites Palette
  • Maybelline Fit Me foundation (Matte + Poreless)
  • Essie Nailpolish in Cute as a Button
  • MAC Pinch o Peach blush
  • MAC Sweet Heat E/S
  • Loreal Amber Rush E/S
  • Clinique Cheek Pops in Plum Pop
  • Maybelline L/S in Shocking Coral
  • Milani L/S in Rose Hip
And those are the items that I have been loving for the past month. I've been loving neutrals with a pop of colour, especially PINK! I would love to know what you guys have been loving :)

It'sJudyTime & That'sHeart Palette by BH Cosmetics Haul

To try and make up for the fact that I was half a month late with my favourites I am posting another post! This one is on the It'sJudyTime and That'sHeart Palettes by BH Cosmetics. I purchased these babies a couple of weeks ago on an impulse buy (well most of my cosmetic purchases are impulse buys lol). They arrived a few days ago so I haven't been able to really dig in and use them much. I have swatched some of the shadows and so far so good.

I have more up close pictures of both palettes after the jump. If you would like swatches and a review of each palette let me know in the comments below :)

Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette

I know I said I would post this a few days ago (I purchased this palette over a week ago from Sephora and its just been sitting there) but as usual I have been bad and lost track of time. Bad Christina! But finally, here it is all swatches & all... The Urban Decay Vice 2 Palette. First off, I decided to purchase this one because I felt that the colors were more wearable than the original Vice palette that was released last year. The colors in the Vice 2 palette still had a good mix of neutrals & colors but I think that they are still wearable for every day.

The formulation of Urban Decay eyeshadows are one of my favorites as for the most part they are pretty creamy & pigmented. This palette in particular had some great pigmented shadows. Some were a little glittery / powdery but for the most part I thought the colors offered were pretty.

My faves from the Vice 2 palette have to be: Prank, Damaged, Toxic & Betrayal. If you have the palette too I would love to know which ones are your faves and not so much your faves. One of my least favorite shadows would be Shellshock, too me it was kind of powdery and to silver for my personal preference. Some of the lighter colors in the Vice 2 palette were a bit sheer but I think they are buildable :) For more pictures & swatches be sure to read on.

Let me know what you guys think of this palette too!!

What is in my: Everyday Make-up Bag

I think I carry too many make-up items in my purse and to prove it here is a post on what is in my everyday make-up bag. I usually take this with me in my purse and use the items to touch up throughout the day.

Project "No Buy" September 2013

Okay! This is going to be really really hard for me but I am going to try project "No Buy" for the month of September. If it works then I will extend into November. I really need to finish up some of the products I currently have in my collection. Some rules / steps I am going to follow in September:

  1. Organize the make-up I currently have so its easier to access and use
  2. Shop my stash - this means use up what I already have
  3. Try to stay away from Sephora & Drugstores (this is going to be hard)
  4. Haircare can be bought if I am out of what I am currently using
Does anyone have any tips they would like to share? I could use the support :) Wish me luck!

Update (September 16, 2013): Half way through the month and I can happily report I have not purchased a singe make-up item. However, the new MAC RiRi collection and Urban Decay collections are making it very difficult to stay on course!

Sigma Mini Haul

My haul from Sigma! I received my beautiful brushes about a week ago but haven't had the time to post a blog about it. I ordered the Make Me Cool  Professional Brush Kit & the limited edition The Cities Tokyo Travel Kit. My first impressions of these brushes are that they are pretty good quality for the prices. I have used some of the eye brushes and the face brushes from the Make Me Cool set and they are very soft and apply the product quite well. I have already washed all the brushes and did not see much shedding of bristles. I compared the softness of the brushes to some of my MAC brushes and they are quite comparable, not exact dupes but still very good quality.

The Make Me Cool brush set comes with 5 Face brushes & 7 Eye brushes for a total of 12 brushes. I have used most of the eye brushes and am loving them. The Tokyo Cities brush set comes with 3 Face brushes and 4 Eye brushes and the quality of these brushes are just the same as the full sized ones. Overall, I think that these brushes are quite a good investment for those who do not want to spend 50 dollars on one MAC brush. Also, these brushes are great for those people who are just starting out with Make Up or who are thinking of becoming make-up artists :)

Happy New Years! See you in 2012 <3
