First Drugstore Haul of 2015

Hello again lovelies! This is my first drugstore haul for 2015. I haven't actually bought that much drugstore makeup recently but I went today and couldn't pass up some of the sales they were having. • Loreal Miss Manga Mascara - this one was a repurchase because I actually like the wand and how it makes my lashes look
• Cover Girl Ready Set Gorgeous Foundation - this was also a repurchase because I really liked the medium coverage and the way it made my skin looked. I am almost finished with my last tube.
• Cover Girl Lash Bloom Mascara
• Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation - not sure if this is new or just new packaging :P
• Loreal Collection Excusive Lipstick - Nude by JLO
• Cover Girl lipstick in Darling Kiss
• Cover Girl lip gloss in #4232 - sorry it doesn't have a name on it but I believe it was berry something

Was totally in a Cover Girl mood today I guess. I can't wait to play with these goodies :) Let me know if you would like a review / swatches of any of these products.

April 2014 Favourites

Hellooo my lovelies! Long time no post >.< totally my fault and I am also late for my monthly favourites (but what is new haha). For the month of April I was really into bold pink lips which is evident in my favourites. I also tried to shop my stash a bit more and have found that I am really loving my drugstore products. Here is a list of my faves:

Aaah long time no blog :P Thought I would post a collective drugstore haul up because I totally missed the boat with the Best of 2012 tag haha. Review: Physicians Formula Nude Shimmer Pallete

First off please excuse my dry skin :( winter always does this to my skin... I hate the cold! lol... Ok on to the review. I purchased this palette from the drugstore a couple of weeks ago and it is the Physicians Formula Nude Shimmer Palette. My initial thoughts were that the packaging was really cute (I'm a sucker for cute packaging) and that the colours reminded me of Urban Decay's Naked Palette but more shimmery haha. Here is what I liked and disliked about the palette:

Liked:

• Cute packaging
• Eyeshadows came in trios for a neutral look, daytime look and a more dramatic look
• The amount of shimmer in the eyeshadows was alright
• They could be used dry or wet
• Paraben free!

Dis-liked:

• The pigmentation of the lighter colours weren't that great (dry) at least on my skintone (NC35 in MAC)
• The applicator that came with it (I usually don't like the applicators that come with palettes anyways... except the Naked 2 one)
• Some of the shades were hard to get into with a brush without touching the other shades because they were quite thin

So, overall that is what I felt about the palette. I think its a good drugstore purchase if you are looking for a neutral palette that is at a relatively good price. I got mine on sale for about $9. I overall like Physicians Formula as a drugstore brand but they can be at the higher end of the spectrum as drugstore products go. Look out for sales on them though because they have some really great products :)

Mini Drugstore Haul January 2012

 

So, I did a little makeup shopping today (I really shouldn't have >.<) and picked up a few items which are pictured above :)

• Revlon Lipbutter in Strawberry Shortcake
• Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick by Kate in 02 & 05 (not sure why but they don't have names)
• My first Milani purchase ever! I got an eyeshadow in the color Coffee Shop
• Three NYC nail polishes in Pier 17 (blueish), Prince Street (purple) & MoMa (hot pink)
• One of my favorite mascaras (a repurchase) Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black in Carbon Black
• Two Revlon satin eyeshadows (my first single revlon eyeshadows!) in Nude Slip & Peacock Lustre
• Loreal HIP eyeshadow duo (matte) in Animated (I really loved the color of the blue in this duo which is why I purchased it)
