August & September Favourites 2014

Finally! My extremely late August & September favourites. I've been so busy the past couple of months with moving & getting married. Finally got some time to sit down and blog! Here are some of my faves from the past few months. I also used these items for my wedding day :)

February 2014 Favourites

HOLY SMOKES! Where did February go?! Seriously though this month went by super fast, I really can't believe we are almost 1/4 through the year... Anyways... on to the favourites before I start rambling too much and it becomes March favourites haha...

For the month of February I tried to go a little more natural / neutral colours. I am officially in love with the Hourglass ambient light powders and am so happy that I was able to get my hands on this trio. Here are a few of my other faves:

• Urban Decay Naked Basics - this has been in my faves before but I love the neutral / matte colours in this palette
• Real Techniques Buffing Brush - I use this to apply my foundation almost everyday!
• Buxom Gloss in Dolly
• Rimmel Scanaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude
• NYX Blush in Mocha
• Maybelline Lipstick in Blushing Beige
• MAC MSF in by Candelight (Limited Edition but I think Soft & Gentle is close to it)
• Korres Lip Butter in Jasmine - Keeps my lips smooth in the crazy cold and dry weather we have been having
• Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Zero

October Favourites 2013

It is that time of the month again! Time for favourites woo woo! haha I hope you all had a lovely October. The holiday season is quickly approaching and I am just so excited to spend more time with family and friends. One last announcement before I get into my faves for the month... August 2013 Favourites

It is August favourites time! Also, I have updated the layout for this blog :) let me know what you guys think!

These are a few of the products that I have been loving and it includes both drugstore & higher end products.

• Beauty Blender  - I finally gave in and bought this little item and OMG! It is amazing and way better than the "dupes" I had bought. I find that this tool is great for applying a variety of different products.
• Maybelline Fit Me Shine Free Foundation Stick - Love this for quick morning coverage
• MAC MSF Natural in Medium Dark - This is my second one and I am still in love with it
• MAC Extra Dimension Skinfinish in Superb - A limited edition item but sometimes it gets re-promoted
• MAC Pressed Pigment in Summer Honey - I believe this was part of a recent collection and it is so pretty!
• Cover Girl lipstick in Fairytale - a lovely pink and the product is great and non-drying on the lips
• NARS Deep Throat Blush - This has been one of my fave blushes for a long time and I started using it again for the month of August
• Loreal Voluminous Full Definition Mascara - Love love love! That is all... lol

These have been some of my most loved products for August. I can't believe Summer is coming to an end. I am not ready for the rain :( Let me know some of your faves and if you are looking forward to Fall.

June 2013 Favourites

For the month of June I was loving a bright lip and neutral gold eyes. Here are some of the products I have been loving:

• MAC MSF in Medium Dark for setting my foundation or wearing alone over some concealer
• MAC MSF in By Candlelight this is a limited edition product but MAC's Soft & Gentle is similar for giving that luminous glow
• Sephora Eyeshadow in Girls Night Out I loved wearing this with some liner and mascara 
• Maybelline Falsies Flared
• Physicians Formula blush in Rose... I love the hearts! haha!
• Cover Girl Lipstick in Fairytale
• Maybelline Vivids in Shocking Coral
• Maybelline Master Drama (love!) in Midnight Master
• Rimmel Wake Me up Foundation
• Essie Polish in Cute as a Button (gorgeous polish!)

This is a collective haul for the month of April. I actually didn't buy too much this month and I am trying to use up what I have in my collection. Many of you must have already seen blog posts and videos about the Reel Sexy and In Extra Dimension collections from MAC. I stopped by my MAC counter the day of the release and picked up three items. I wanted more but held myself back. The eye shadows in the In Extra Dimension collection were really pretty, but I decided to get the more neutral champagne color (not that I needed anymore neutral shadows...). It is really similar to the MSF I bought in Superb but it is a bit lighter which I liked. I have used it a couple times since I purchased it and the texture and color payoff of the shadow & MSF is really great! 

From the Reel Sexy collection I wanted to get more lip products but decided on only one lipstick. This color is perfect for Spring / Summer which is why I bought it haha. I thought I owned something similar but after going through my lipstick collection I found that this shade was a bit more lighter and orange toned than other lipsticks I have. 

The item I purchased from NARS using my Sephora Beauty Insider 15% off discount was the eye shadow duo in Tzarine. I have been looking at this product for awhile now but couldn't justify buying it at the time. When the 15% off sale came along it was the first thing I picked up. NARS eye shadows are pretty nice and this duo is no exception. I really love the light highlight color and the silver color and together they make a really nice smoky eye look. I do recommend this duo! It is actually my first NARS eye shadow duo, so I am super excited to use it more :)
