I received these products free through influenster to test out. The shades I got were Flambe, Eclair and Demi Glace. I really enjoyed the formula of this product. It didn't dry down matte but had a bit of a sheen to it. It glided on smoothly on the lips and didn't have a strong scent to it. I love the packaging as it is very sleek and matte. The little color indicator at the tip of the liquid lipstick was very nice too. My favorite shades were Flambe (gorgeous orange red) and Eclair (pink mauve). Demi glace was more of a vampy color which I like from time to time but it just wasn't my style. Overall, I enjoyed the product and would try other shades from the collection.

My 2016 Beauty Favourites

Happy 2017!! Wow long time no post! The past couple of months have been an absolute blur with work and travelling and just enjoying the Holiday Season. I hope you have all had a wonderful Holiday and Happy New Year. For my first post of 2017 I thought it would be nice to reflect on some of the beauty products I constantly reached for in 2016. Some of these items were released in 2016 and some were released in previous years.

• SLMissGlam Kabooki Glam Brush - Love love love this brush for applying my powder. This one came with me on Vacation.

#UDVanCity Grand Opening & Sephora VIB Event Haul

September 10th was the Grand Opening of Urban Decay's first Canadian stand alone store @ Metrotown. The event brought together makeup enthusiast and bloggers to the store where they had meet & greets, gift cards for the first 100 in line and also a key that could potentially unlock 1 of 3 vault prizes. I unfortunately was not one of the lucky ones to get a vault prize or gift card. Nonetheless, the store opening was fun and I really enjoyed going through all of the Urban Decay products available. I picked up 3 items from the Grand Opening which were:

• Vice Lipstick in Venom
• Vice Lipstick in Shame

With my 3 purchases I was able to get a GWP which was a cute makeup pouch (pictured below) filled with some UD samples. 

On the same day Sephora was hosting an event to give early access to the upcoming Holiday collections. I didn't pick up any Holiday items but I did pick up a couple of lip & brow products.

My Colourpop Cosmetics Ultra Matte Lip Collection

From Left to Right - Beeper, 1st Base, Mars, So Low,

Creeper, Chilly Chilli, Donut, Sundae

These liquid lips definitely dry MATTE. They last a good couple of hours on my lips and I recommend that you exfoliate and moisturize prior to application. My favourites from my collection have to beeper & creeper. They rhyme! haha... These colors are pretty much at the opposite side of the spectrum. Beeper is a mid tone taupe and Creeper is a bright red. I loves me some red lips!

Overall, I really like these ultra matte liquid lipsticks. Swatches are down below!
